Its the debut of the newest Assassin, Daisy!
There have been so many Assassins over the years that I’ve loved. The Extinction story just happened and it didn’t even involve all of them. The entire idea of the Assassins is brilliant. It is a pretty incredible concept that leads to original characters, gorgeous art and no end to story possibilities.
But I never thought I would find such a thing as the hardcore assassin with the four issue deep backstory.
Daisy is sadistic, she’s a danger to even read. She’s the type of girl you really want to go home with but the fear that you wont make it out alive is too strong. It is only her first appearance but there’s a good change she might be the most deadly of all the Assassins.
There is a rich history for Daisy sprinkled throughout the issue and I’m sure much more will come over the next few issues. She hasn’t had a good run and it was probably inevitable that something bad would happen to her. However, the path of darkness and escape led her to the Assassins’ path.
I love everything Vince has done in this series and while I would follow him to any title that counts doubly so for any featuring a female lead. Also, I know this has been said before – and by me – but why do I not see Lori more? She is pulling off the sexy and sadistic look that Daisy requires and making it look effortless.
